Description

I've seen this target referred to before as a "Star Volcano" and I can see the resemblance, personally my first thought was of a shield when I spotted it initially in Stellarium - either way though I love contrast between light and dark it gives!

I took advantage of a rare week of clear nights to capture the data for this image. I was originally planning on doing this as a full HaRGB image, but compromised on HOO with RGB Stars due to some truly horrific seeing and a full moon when I needed to capture the RGB subs. Regardless I'm still fairly happy with the result.
